Christmas Spectacular!

Heya Nesters!  One day down and only 11 to go until D-Day Christmas.   I have a smidge less time before I need to be complete considering one of the bigger surprises is for my brother and sister-in-law and they're going to be crashing here. I can't exactly relegate them to the bedroom while I wrap up my present making. So for me, its only 10 days. {Holy Crap-ola.}  What's more appalling than the lack of time, is the bomb of sewing-guts that went off in my living room. I can't wait to show you pictures once Christmas is over.  Horrendous is the only word that comes to mind.....

Yeah... imagine the exact opposite of that.  Mmmkay?

In my few minutes of downtime, I've managed to squeeze in seeing the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular for the first time.  It was awesome!!  {Despite the drunk family of a dozen women sitting in front of us, slugging down wine, attempting to speak louder than the orchestra and petting each other creepily.  Now that is class...}

On the bright side, I made a trip to Home Depot AND AC Moore today.  Exciting projects on their way!  I apologize for not showing them to you but I swear there will be a plethora after the 25th!

So what have you guys been doing to celebrate the season with your friends and family?  Do you see shows like me? Or maybe you all decorate the house together, making a real live gingerbread house? Or are sewing projects turning your house into a holy mess? Or is that one just me?! HA!

  2. My best friend is a 2nd grade teacher and last Friday the class had their Christmas Activity Day. I volunteered to help out and was put in charge of the Story-time activity. The kiddos had peppermint sticks while I read The Legend of the Candy Cane and Silver Packages. I love reading to kids and they were a great group to hang out with!
