Heya Nesters! Sorry for my absence yesterday... sometimes life just gets in the way of blogging! {How dare it...} But I made up for it with double posts on Wednesday... right?? Be it as it may, I'm back in action. I made a bold move last night: I am selling my good ol' bed.

If it ain't broke, dont fix it...
However, if it is.... you probably should fix it. As we saw in my bedroom, I need to fix that heinous issue that's happening over my head when I snuggle up every night --That's right! I'm talkin' about the bed frame and the framed poster over my bed.

Love. Like. Loathe.
Heya Nesters! Yellow, Aqua and Chocolate. Those are the colors of my bedroom. Way back yonder, in my old apartment, I had the most beautiful pale aqua walls that were so incredibly soothing and they totally tied my whole decor together.
Now with the "no painting" policy in my current apartment, I have been feeling a bit lost in terms of where to go with my bedroom decor.

Not quite a resolution...
Heya Nesters! So I've been noticing all these blogs posting their list of New Years resolutions. I'm not super huge on resolutions because they always get forgotten about, or put on the back-burner when life gets in the way. {The only thing I resolved last year was to have better posture. Which actually has worked so I'd like to keep that up, I suppose. The less of a hunchback I am the better, right?!} My point is: Instead of a resolution list, I'm just making myself a To-Do Checklist.

When I was 17...
Heya Nesters. I remember the moment when I realized I was no longer a "teen". It wasn't when I turned 20, it was the day I asked myself "When did VH1 become cooler than MTV?" I was about 17. And that theory has gone one step further that now neither are all that cool. {With the exception of Teen Mom, I shamefully admit that show is a total guilty pleasure.} In the spring, MTV aired a show called "When I was 17" where celebs discuss who and how they were when they were in high school.

So, when I was 17, I loved pink, purple and silver. Oh yeah... and don't forget Christmas lights.

Bean there, Done that
If you havent noticed, I've been on kind of a Autumn kick recently. {Note: It's not even official until tomorrow.} Maybe its because I grew up here in Boston but Fall, to me, is a symbol of New England. I think many people would agree. Whether it be the Halloween tales of Salem, just down the road or the leaf peepers taking their treks, I have a feeling others understand what I'm saying. And what is more authentically New England than Maine based corporation LL Bean.

Bodacious Beds
Heya Nesters! Sorry I've been a smidge MIA this week, its been WILD around here! In efforts to force out the insanity and bring in the serenity: I wanted to share a few bedrooms to make you reverie in the thought of the impending weekend and sleeping late and perhaps even some precious cuddle time with your hunny bunny.

Switcheroo Number Two!
Heya Nesters! I had been mooning over flipping the layout of my bedroom similar to the way I changed my living room around. So, Friday night I carpe diem'd and started hauling all my accessories out of the room. All the junk under the bed, the mirror off the dresser, pulled the drawers out were hap-hazardly thrown in the kitchen. Remember the awkward lay out before hand?

Headboard Doubts
I've said before that I've been feeling like a bad Decor Mommy to my Bedroom because I've been completely neglecting it. When I was living in my old apartment, my bedroom was the only thing I had all to myself and I truly put all my efforts into making it a luxurious space for me to relax {in an otherwise tumultuous household}. So, now that I'm in a place all to myself and have the freedom of having guests over, I've been focusing my efforts on having a space where my visitors will be comfortable {AKA the living room}and thus my bedroom decor gets tossed by the wayside. *sigh*
But I'm tired of walking into a bedroom that looks like a catch-all. I want my sanctuary back...

Two Little Monkeys Jumpin' on the Bed!
Matt and I were talking recently about the size of our beds. We each have a full {AKA "Double"} size mattresses, which is fine when we sleep alone but, as most modern couples, we share a sleeping arrangement on occasion and sometimes it can be a tight squeeze. And we went on to hypothesize about what size bed we might get, should we ever make the leap into cohabitation?

Boudior Envy
Lately, I've been so focused on my living room decor that I've really been leaving my bedroom in the dust. I'm a little bit stumped as to how I want to set it up, and where I want to place images. {I'm still looking for the right Damask Wallpaper!} So, I decided to look for a little inspiration to help me on my way.

Da Search for Damask
You've already seen a picture of my sterile bedroom that is in some dire need of TLC.
While its a good start, it's undoubtedly lack-luster.
After some thought and deliberation of how to bridge the gap over the headboard. I am on the hunt for some Damask wallpaper to hang behind my headboard. I had considered a mirror, hanging the Almond blossoms art from my prior apartment, or perhaps even keeping it bare.
But none of those options truly ticked my fancy. I was discouraged when I thought back to what my realtor, Jeanne, proclaimed, "No paint, no wallpaper or wallpaper borders!" While I can fully understand why this would be problematic as a landlord, I have a plan up my sleeve to adhere the wallpaper without ruining the walls. Stay tuned for the execution of that project!
{My ultra-swoon-worthy inspiration images}
Don't they almost make you want to weep like a small child?
Oh... {sigh} ...what I wouldn't give for infinite amounts of money and space.
