If I Had a Million Dollars: Muddy Rooms

Heya Nesters!  I'm still looking for a coat rack in order to solve the throw-the-coat-on-the-chair syndrome.   I can't find one that tickles my fancy just right that I can paint and spruce up on the cheap.  I cannot stop thinking about this one...

The cute little boots, and wood pile make me think mudroom.  So that's why this week If I had a Million Dollars, I would have the most amazing mudroom on the planet.

I love the map wallpaper in this one, it makes it feel like each time you leave the house is a whole new adventure! You never know what is going to happen every time you step out that door.  Carpe diem, Nesters!

In stark contrast, this hyper organized mudroom hides everything behind closed doors.  That marble bench is a seriously million dollar rump rest for putting on cleats!

Hello beach cottage mud room! Or shall I call it sand room? This is colorful, playful and I love the use of the built-in bench that looks like it was always there and the super simple double hooks.  Million dollar beach house? Sure!

I love this school-house-esque mudroom. The high chair rail and the chalkboard baskets with the mini shoe cubby. {The shoe cubbies tug on my heart strings.} I love the simplicity and the use of space.

And here we have the hockey locker room version of a mud room.  I love the locker look, particularly with the arches.  It softens them and makes them look less severe.  If you strip the hockey gear out of it and filled it with frilly girlie things, it would look just as spectacular! It's just a great base mud room.

I don't think I can choose which one I like best! I suppose it don't have to since I'll have a Million Dollars to make what ever kind of mud room I want, that fits my life! But I do love the map wallpaper...........

So there you have it Nesters! My mud room picks! Do you have a spectacular mud room you want to share the link to? Or have one you ogle on the interwebs that you also want to share a link to? Share with us!  Or do you hate the idea of mud rooms at all? -- Hall closets or bust!  I want to hear all about it, so dish!

  1. I would love a mudroom someday. Taking your shoes off when you walk inside your tiny hallway off of the stairs then taking them to the rug by the front door is getting old :)

I love the schoolhouse one you have above the best, unless I had a beach house, then I'd want the beach "sand" room. With all the snow and cold weather we have been having I am ready for summer!
