Heya Nesters! We're back in action on this beautiful Monday in Beantown.  Over the weekend there were lots of festivities and fun to be had, but I carved out a little smidge of time to make a couple sigh-worthy changes to the ol' nest 'o' mine.

Roommate Etiquette

Every single person is different, particularly when it comes to living situations.  All of you Nesters have your own habits and also your own pet peeves. Some people are communal livers and some people are loners. {I am of the latter breed.} But no matter what sect of liver you belong to, there are some ground rules for living with roommates...

Heya Nesters! Last year sometime I went to an local artist community open studio.  Most of the art was out of my price range (which is nil) but one photographer {sadly, whose name escapes me} had some photos that really stood out to me.

And by Chevy I mean chevroning, of course!  If your not familiar, Wikipedia describes chevroning as: "The general shape of a V character, or a triangular shape pointing up or more often, down."  

 Well let me tell you... I love me some chevroned stripes!

DIY Project: Pretty Little Dish Towels

Heya Nesters!  Today I'm bringing you a new DIY project to spruce up that kitchen of yours. Remember way back when I wanted to flank my LOVE poster with this lemon printed fabric?  Well I chose to go with a different accent for that piece and saved the fabric to use to make my dish towels look much more "Gina."

Oriental Rug Love

When I was living at my old house, I had to accommodate the interesting multi-level design of the apartment.  The old, wide board hardwoods creaked like crazy underfoot and caused some serious disruption for our downstairs neighbors.  We solved the issue with lots of throw rugs and one larger area rug.  You can see a couple of them here as well as my cute inexpensive living room area rug.
