I broke down...

... and finally bought the hand soap dispenser I've been coveting from Target for the last year.

Don't forget to look at the hot freckled tile and faux marble sink. H-O-T-T-T!

Why did it take me so damn long to purchase a $12.99 soap dispenser? I don't know.  Sometimes I get psyched out and will outright refused to pay over a certain amount of money for something.  {Kind of like my basket hang up.} This happened to be one of them.

Isn't she sexy?

If it were $7.99? It would have been in my house a year ago.  Those extra five bucks have had me day dreaming and longing for too long.  On an impromptu trip to Tar-jay over the weekend, I bit the bullet.  My rationalization was that I keep buying fancy soaps from TJ Maxx in pretty bottles for around $5 and I just end up throwing them out.  So, why not just buy the pretty bottle and the cheap soap refills.  I will end up spending less in the end.

The only thing that is even remotely concerning is this...

After using it, this little pool of water stayed on the top.  I foresee rusting. So, for now at least, I have been taking it with me to the hand towel and wiping it off.  We'll see how long that lasts and how long it takes before it starts rusting. I'm thinking of putting some clear nail polish on the top to prevent the rusting.  Anyone try that before?

Anyhoo, that's all I wanted to share with you, Nesters! I hope you're having a fabu Monday!

  3. I get it too! But I always say for stuff under $20 or so, if I still reeeeally want it after a month or so, I pick that sucker up and take it home. :) I admire your restraint!

  4. Omg you're a lot like me! I will look at a price of something and just refuse to pay it.. but if it was just a teeny bit cheaper I would have been all over it! I didn't buy a trash can for a year b/c of that. We tossed the old smelly one in a fit of moving and then just went without alllll year. I finally dug up a wedding gift card and bough a super amazing one that was beyond overpriced (but I got almost 50 bucks off! hollerrr!) and to this day I still cringe at how much I spent! lol

Tarjay needs more clearance =) love when the red sticker pops up on something i've been stalking!

    wow. rambling!!!! Happy monday doll!

  5. What a great dispenser! I wish I had some of your restraint in buying, but I've reached the age where I subscribe to the line in the Don Henley song that says "you don't see no hearses with luggage racks." I figure if I can't take it with me, I might as well spend, spend, spend. :)

  6. Dreamy. Except I'm super pissed at Target. They donated $20k to Michelle Bachmann last year. And she is just anti everything I love: gay rights, women's rights to reproductive options, etc.
