Father's Day in NYC

"Get that thing out of my face, Auntie Gina!"

I had the pleasure of spending the weekend in NYC with my dear-ol-Dad and my brother- the new Dad. After Friday night's grueling, 6 hour-and-should-be 3-hour-bumper-to bumper-the-whole-way drive, I pulled up to Dads and we headed straight over to Joe and Molly's to see Lucca...

He's very pensive.

He is the most precious thing I have ever seen in my entire life. Not to mention he is also the funniest thing on the planet.  He makes hysterical faces and he can even do the Elvis lip! Bright and early on Saturday morning, Dad, Joe, Lucca and I went on a nice long walk in the park while Molly got in a work-out.

Dad, always being the photographer, snapped a few pics Raz Joe and I, while we took a load off on a bench.  I am so proud of the kind of father my brother is.  I knew he would be a wonderful father.  He was seven years older than me, so he was up in college in California by the time I was in middle school.  And he was always there fore me even from three thousand miles away.  So there is not a doubt in my mind that he will be the best father Lucca could ever imagine.  Much like our dad.

I wish I had a picture of Dad and I from this weekend... but Lucca is just one serious camera magnet. And he is just so incredibly well behaved.  No crying unless he needs a bottle or to be changed.

I'm trying to convince Joe and Molly to take some head-shots and send them out... what's the worst that could happen? I mean heck, they live in NY already.  There's no real travel required, so if he gets nothing... no harm, no foul.... on the alternative, if he gets a job and Joe and Molly get a couple bucks to put in a college fund.  Seems like a win-win to me!

Anyway, enough babbling about my {not so} Wee Man.  I had a wonderful stay and hated leaving Lucca but as usual, I'm happy to be home.  I hope you all had a superb fathers day and weekend, Nesters!

PS: Dad loved his card.

  1. Are you trying to break "The Raz" habit and call him Lucca now? We're trying to break our habit of calling Grayson "Little Buddy." He's nearly 6 months old now, and that's all we've ever called him, and Holden (his 21-month-old brother) calls him Bubba. The poor kid is gonna grow up not knowing he even has a name...LOL

Lucca is a DOLL, and I know you must have a ball when you're with him. My two grandsons give me more joy than anything else in my life.
