Target is so Romantic...

I headed out to Target the other day with all intentions of getting dish soap and of course I ended up spending $125.  How does that happen!?  Luckily while I was there, I was wooed.  That's right. Wooed. Not by a kind stranger {which -- I actually don't know if I would think that was 'kind' having a stranger trying to woo me... anyway...} but my some beautiful inanimate objects. "Don't be silly, Gina, you can't be wooed by an inanimate object!" you say?  Are you going to try to tell me that you've never spotted something at a store that has literally stopped you in your tracks?  That's right... you've been wooed too.  What was it that caught my eye?

This display was like crack to me. {Intervention may or may not be on TV right now...}  Sadly it was somewhat empty.  I'm not sure if it was because it was in the midst of being set up, or because it had already been ransacked.

I loved all the feminine florals with the base in white and the ornate frames and lamps. Gold chevron lamp shade?  Don't mind if I do!

I love these side tables.  They kind of remind me of a combination of the mirrored nightstand I made for my cousin and one of the other white night stands I painted for myself.

And then I saw the doves.  The ceramic doves. Um hi, if you haven't noticed, this is Temporary Nest and I love me a good piece of bird art.

I know. Spectacular, aren't they?  I don't know what my train of thought was in not buying a set, but I didn't.  It may have been my full cart when- I repeat- I only went in to get dish soap.  Maybe next trip they'll still be there, and I'll snatch up a trio.  I would have taken more pics but I was getting the stink eye from a Target employee.  But make a trip and let us all know if you picked anything up from this series!

Happy Monday, Nesters!

  2. Super addictive. It's worse for Canadians who visit because we know we can't just pop in so we STOCK up!!

    Missed ya, girl.

  3. OMG. Was this the Arsenal Target? I was there the week following (had to visit the lovely DMV) and the SAME thing happened to me in that aisle!! I wanted to buy everything. I may go back and actually buy everything. So funny (but not surprising) that we both stopped in our tracks at the same display. NEEDS to own that teal-ish lamp.
